A Good day in Astoria

We spent a good day in Astoria, Oregon. We went there to see our grandson wrestle. In between matches we went to Fort Stevens State Park. I have been there before, but I explored it more today. It is full of history. There is a wonderful museum, picnic area, and many trails.

This is some of the information in the museum.

Now, for the reason we went. Logan, a senior at Banks High School, wrestled in district matches for a position at state. He had a forfeit and a pin yesterday. Today he had one of the top wrestlers in the district as an opponent the first match. it was a tough match, but he lost 3 - 0. He won the next two matches and took third place. He goes to state next weekend in Portland.

He is wearing a nose protection, because he broke his nose earlier in the season.
Proud Grandma & Grandpa

Logan and his girlfriend, Dannielle.

A real winner.

Cool. Congratulations, Logan!
Interesting tour of Fort Stevens, and I'm glad to see Mike out and doing so well. Looks like you had beautiful weather too.

Well done Logan. I also enjoyed your tour of Fort Stevens Ilene. Enlarging the pictures made it all more interesting. Especially reading about the two explorers. - Dave

Looks like a fun outing. I'm pretty sure I have been to Ft. Stevens before, but I don't remember any of it, so it was fun flipping through your photos. I bet you are really proud of Logan.

I posted photos of my two cameras that I use for my photos to answer your question on my blog. Log onto: www.lifecaught.blogspot.com
