Patio Flowers

Each Spring I like to fill my own baskets with flowers and plant my own planters. They are beginning to look very nice. If only I could keep the deer away from them. I have a few miniature roses in the pots, and haven't been able to see a bloom yet. The deer especially like roses. It is fun to see the deer. They will almost eat from our hands. What a dilemma - FLOWERS OR DEER!

It might be time for a deer fance around part of your yard, so you can have both.

Lovely colourful flowers - I'm sure the deer look pretty when they eat them...
Your post made me smile, but it must also be extremely frustrating at times.

Congrats on being a Guest Friend. Your patio flowers are so lovely, and I sympathize about the deer. It's amazing that the rose thorns do NOT deter them. Are their mouths lined in sheetrock? And I love your fireworks shots, no apologies needed. That first one is a stunner.

Hello Ilene from Vernonia! Terri from Portland - got to you via Today's Flowers. Lovely flowers you have there. I would love more hanging baskets - I just never seem to get around to doing them.

Good luck with the deer. Such a hard trade off.

Lovely arrangments of blooms dear guest friend!
They look so lush and healthy.
I have deer in my yard too; but I love seeing them. We have a little resident fawn right now so I'm content to lose a few blooms. :)

My post is here: Carletta’s Captures.

Wonderful and colourful flower baskets.
Thank you for sharing.
In our garden the racoon destroys my flowers and scares the cat.
But what can we do?

I do the very same thing with my planters--plant my own and give them permission to surprise me. Yours are WONDERFUL to behold.
Happy Monday!
