A Beautiful Day in Vernonia

It is a beautiful day in Vernonia. Even the miniature roses are still trying to bloom.

This is a view from our front window.

Vernonia has a lake (Lake Vernonia) that is part of the remains of a huge lumber mill that was here years ago. The lake was the "mill pond" back then. Now there is a paved path around it, and many visitors and locals use the path for walks, bike riding, and skating. The ducks live there year around, as well as rabbits, and other wildlife. Once in awhile you can see an eagle, and swans were seen about two weeks ago.
